Principal Piping Designer – Teesside or Renfrew BasedAltrad are currently expanding due to a number of project successes within our Major projects business. To support this growth we are looking to recruit a Principal Piping Designer with demonstrable experience in delivering on E3D, ideally on large EPC projects, working with laser / point cloud scans.The opportunity will be based in our Teesside or Renfrew offices with hybrid working arrangements for a duration of 12 months with potential to extend longer term, when required you will expected to travel to our client site facility in Hull.You will be at the forefront of piping design for a major Chemical Manufacturing project while working in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in piping design, preferably within the targeted industries.
• Proficiency in 3D design software such as AutoCAD, SP3D, or PDMS.
• Comprehensive understanding of piping system components, materials, design standards, and industry orthodoxy.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team framework.
