Our systems underpin millions of pounds worth of revenue each year, and we’re on a journey to modernize our technology estate and ways of working.Your Role: Principal Delivery LeadAs a Principal Delivery Lead, you’ll collaborate with architecture, engineering, product, and business partners across Europe and the UK to design next-generation, customer-facing, software-as-a-service applications. You’ll play a critical role in driving successful outcomes, fostering team collaboration, and ensuring customer satisfaction.What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Major Projects: Oversee delivery for projects spanning multiple teams with complex scope and inter-dependencies, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Manage Change: Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
  • Align Objectives: Ensure that delivery objectives align with the broader strategic goals of the organization.
  • Build Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
  • Provide Updates: Manage expectations by providing regular updates on progress, risks, and changes.
  • Support Teams: Act as a servant leader, removing obstacles and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Coordinate Releases: Coordinate major feature releases and ongoing delivery of value to customers.
  • Drive Improvement: Facilitate continuous improvement through retrospectives and other feedback mechanisms.
  • Community of Practice: Participate in the Delivery Community of Practice to maintain alignment and improve practices.
  • Coach Teams: Improve the implementation of Agile processes, practices, and mindset.
  • Empower Teams: Encourage teams to own their products and processes, embedding a culture of “You build it, you run it.”

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Bachelor’s Degree + 4 years’ experience OR 8 years relevant experience, with 3-5+ years in a dedicated delivery leadership role.
  • Collaboration Skills: Proven experience collaborating with and influencing Director-level stakeholders.
  • Agile Expertise: Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, Lean thinking, and Systems Thinking.
  • Location: Must live near Manchester or Leeds and be willing to come onsite 2-3 times a week.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong technical skills and experience leading teams in delivering quality software.
  • Leadership: Servant leader with strong interpersonal skills who can listen, support, and persuade by influence.
