Job introductionAbout the roleThis is a unique opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary Child Exploitation team. The team has strong reputation, supporting children and their families who are at risk of or experiencing harm outside the home, including child criminal and sexual exploitation. You will work closely with other Children’s Services team, Police, Keyworkers, Health Professionals, Education Sector, Youth Justice Service and community-based services delivering a robust safeguarding and disruption response for children at risk. You will also play a role in the development and delivery of contextual, placed based interventions and act as the NRM Coordinator, supporting the local decision-making panel.We are in search of a Practice Manager who holds current Social Work England registration and who has prior experience of multi-agency working, as well as knowledge of exploitation and contextual safeguarding. You will manage a social work team, ensuring high quality and effective services are delivered to children and their families in line with legislation and procedures and will play a key role in developing and monitoring social work practitioners by championing expertise, driving excellent practice and assuring quality. Being passionate and innovative will assist you to deliver the best possible services and outcomes for our children and their families.The post holder will:
- Manage the delivery of effective professional social work practice including assessment, intervention and management of risk.
- Lead, motivate, nurture and inspire others by developing a learning culture in the team.
- Develop and maintain partnership and multi-agency working, to ensure that services work together effectively to assess risk and respond to identified need to safeguard children.
- Chair multi-agency meetings including the SAFER (Safeguarding Adolescents from Exploitation and Risk) Screening Hub and Education Review Meetings
- To secure service improvements through effective audit, quality assurance and management of data systems.
