| Job Summary | The Romiti Group in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Texas at Dallas, has a postdoctoral position available in the area of catalytic methods development and complex biologically active molecule synthesis. We are seeking a highly motivated and independent scientist with a strong background in organic synthesis and is excited about organic chemistry, synthesis and catalysis, to join our research team. Complex molecule synthesis experience is required. The postdoc will develop high-impact and practical catalytic transformations, and creative, novel synthesis strategies for the concise and efficient preparation of bioactive complex natural products and analogs thereof. The postdoc will also serve as a mentor to junior graduate students. The candidate should have completed a Ph.D. within the last three years or soon to be completed in chemistry or a related discipline. |
| Minimum education and Experience | Ph.D in a related field. Candidates who have successfully completed all requirements for the Ph.D. but whose degree has not yet been formally conferred may be eligible to begin employment provided they submit an official letter from the Registrar or Graduate School of the degree-granting institution certifying that all doctoral requirements have been satisfied and specifying the expected date of conferral. Appointment and continued employment are contingent upon formal conferral of the Ph.D. |
