Offer DescriptionInternationally recognized generalist engineering school of the IMT (Institut Mines-Télécom), leading French engineering school (Technological University), aims to support transitions, train responsible engineers, and use scientific excellence to serve teaching, research and innovation.As part of the PerForms project (funded by the French National Research Agency), which aims to develop a surgical planning for the fractures of distal radius using new statistical modeling methods incorporating multi-bones and motions, we are recruiting a Computer Vision and 3D Modeling specialist.Under the supervision of Valérie BURDIN, Professor in the Data Science Department (DSD), and in collaboration with Guillaume DARDENNE (INSERM Researcher) and the Imagine team of the LaTIM Laboratory ( ), you will establish a state-of-the-art overview and identify the relevant solution for modeling the bone configuration forearm and kinematics.You will develop a robust approach for building a digital twin of the patient’s forearm able to simulate the premorbid anatomy and kinematics and help the surgical planning solutions.In addition, you will publish your results in journals, write project deliverables (reports) and participate in working meetings with other project partners.Where to apply WebsiteRequirementsResearch Field Computer science » 3 D modelling Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsYou want to contribute to an ambitious research project combining computer science, computer vision and medicine. You have C++/Python development skills and experience with software libraries in the field (VTK, OpenCV, etc.).
