In partnership with Doherty, we’re hiring multiple Gas Pipeline Construction Inspectors for direct hire opportunities. What You’ll Do:
As a Distribution/Utility Inspector, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and compliance of natural gas pipeline construction projects.
Your role will include:
- Successfully completing paid Operator Qualification training modules and other required programs
- Prioritizing safety and building knowledge of federal, local, and company compliance requirements
- Conducting daily field inspections and documenting activities electronically (using a company-provided iPad for Daily Reports, Pictures, Schedules, Time, and Expenses)
- Verifying mapping accuracy, tracking materials, and overseeing as-built documentation
- Inspecting excavation, installation, and backfill/restoration activities
- Navigating to multiple job sites each day and working 40-60 hours per week, 5-6 days a week, with potential travel up to 50% locally
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug testing
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Construction or construction inspection experience
- Excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and navigate challenging work environments (stooping, kneeling, crawling, confined spaces, uneven terrain, etc.) #metrocareers #NewCareerByDoherty
