MD Anderson is hiring for Pharmacy Technicians for our Inpatient Pharmacy Team!Ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of recent experience working as Pharmacy Technician in an acute care setting. Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.Shifts:7a – 3:30p3p – 11:30pJOB COMPETENCIES1. Medication Preparation and Distributiona. Accurately and efficiently fill unit dose carts and first dosesb. Accurately and efficiently pull drugs to refill controlled access cabinetsc. Accurately and efficiently deliver medications/supplies to designated areas2. Sterile Compounding/Preparationa. Accurately and efficiently prepare small and large volume parenteral sterile products (non-hazardous and non-investigational)3. Inventory Managementa. Restocking medications/suppliesb. Complete cycle counts in carouselc. Ensure medication security and accountabilityd. Monitors area inventory and supplies, notifies appropriate personnel when shortages and/or outages noted.4.
