We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Manager to join a dynamic and highly specialized pharmacy team on an 18-month maternity leave contract.This is a fantastic opportunity for a leader who wants to gain hands-on experience in a sterile compounding environment, without the need to work directly in the cleanroom. You’ll oversee a well-supported team that includes a dedicated cleanroom technician lead and a small group of experienced pharmacists, giving you the space to focus on team development and operational oversight.You’ll benefit from internal sterile compounding training, making this the ideal contract for someone looking to build specialty experience into their resume – experience that may help open future doors in this high-growth area of practice.Work hours are early-start and early-finish, leaving your evenings free. Pharmacy Manager – Specialty Pharmacy – Calgary – HealthcareLead and coordinate day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory and internal complianceSupervise a team of pharmacists and a cleanroom supervisor who oversees a group of techniciansManage scheduling, training, and performance reviews for direct reportsServe as escalation point for pharmacy service issues and collaborate with quality and operations leadersLearn sterile compounding practices to provide informed oversight (no hands-on compounding required)Monitor service KPIs and operational workflows to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely dispensingParticipate in internal initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement projectsMaintain documentation, software system accuracy, and report reviews as neededQualifications
Pharmacy Manager – Specialty Pharmacy – Calgary – HealthcarePharmacy degree and licensure in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy3+ years of pharmacy practice experience; pharmacy management or assistant manager experience preferredStrong people leadership skills with a collaborative, flexible approachExceptional communication, organization, and time management skillsWillingness to complete sterile compounding training (training provided)Experience in sterile compounding is an asset, not a requirementSummary
