Are you ready to lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, including those that enhance workplace culture, employee engagement, and diversity, equity and inclusion across UNICEF Indonesia and Timor-Leste Country Offices?

In this role, you will work with the small but dedicated teams of seasoned People and Culture practitioners, overseeing a total workforce of around 320 personnel across the two countries. Your main responsibilities will include talent acquisition, performance management, change management, organizational design, DEI, and staff development to ensure a high-performing workforce capable of delivering UNICEF’s programs effectively. As a key partner to the Senior Management Teams in Indonesia and Timor-Leste, your efforts will contribute to the overall success of UNICEF’s work in these countries to ensure no child is left behind.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading organizational culture and DEI initiatives, as well as experience in advising and supporting managers through organizational change. Prior experience supervising a team and familiarity with the UN Common System are highly desirable.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Minimum requirements:

  • Education: An Advanced University Degree in human resource management, business management, international relations, psychology, social sciences or another related field is required.
  • Work Experience: At least 8 (eight) years of relevant work experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation
  •  Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
