With headquarters in London and offices in Berlin, Kraków, Warsaw and Sydney – and an all-star team already in place – we’re sure you’ll fit right in.About the role:As the Payment Partnerships Manager at Volt, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive partner strategy that spans multiple geographies and partner types, playing a pivotal role in setting the direction of our payment infrastructure. You will be instrumental in expanding our global payment network, enhancing coverage, and driving resilience, all while optimizing the consumer experience. By optimizing and building a strong, scalable network of partners and aligning our partnerships with business objectives and market expectations, you will ensure that Volt’s payment solutions remain industry-leading, reliable, and well-positioned to meet future demands in the fast-evolving payments ecosystem.What the role involves:
- Building and managing strategic partnerships with Banks, financial institutions, payment schemes, and other payment ecosystem players to enhance Volt’s payment capabilities.
- Increasing coverage across key markets and payment channels, ensuring that Volt’s payment solutions are comprehensive and reliable for customers worldwide.
- Optimizing the end-to-end consumer experience by ensuring partnerships deliver on service expectations, reliability, and ease of use.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, compliance, and legal, to align partnership opportunities with Volt’s overall strategy and operational requirements.
- Driving the resilience of our payment infrastructure by strengthening partnerships that support business continuity and ensure seamless payment experiences.
- Leading negotiations for new partner deals and renewals, ensuring terms that enhance Volt’s service offerings and market differentiation.
- Supporting innovation by co-creating new payment solutions with partners that meet emerging customer needs and address evolving market demands.
- Managing the entire process of Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
- Monitoring industry trends and regulatory developments to ensure Volt’s payment offerings remain compliant, competitive, and ahead of the curve.
RequirementsAbout you
- 8+ years of experience in partnerships or business development within the payments, financial services, or fintech industry, with a focus on building and managing strategic partner ecosystems and network development.
- Deep understanding of the payments infrastructure with a focus on A2A payments and Open banking, including banking relationships, payment processors, cash management, foreign exchange and related financial services.
- Strong business and commercial acumen, with a track record of executing deals with financial institutions and partners that drive coverage and resilience, while optimizing for the consumer experience.
- Operational expertise in managing complex projects and partnerships from strategy through execution, with a focus on creating scalable and resilient payment solutions.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple internal teams to align partnership strategies with business goals, ensuring a seamless integration of new partners.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to engage with external partners at all levels and lead negotiations that result in mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Specialized expertise in operational partner management, focusing on resolving payment-related issues with partners and optimizing payment processes by minimizing Requests for Information and reducing operational load and friction.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and assess business implications and trade-offs, enabling informed strategic decisions aligned with organizational goals.
What happens next?
- Selected candidates will be invited for an initial interview with our Talent Acquisition representative. The video meeting will take about 45 minutes,
- Then it’s time for a second interview! The meeting will be conducted by our Chief Marketing Officer and VP International Expansion and will take 1 hour.
- As a third stage, you will meet with our SVP of Operations during a 45-minute call,
- Our Chief Executive Officer would also like to chat with you 🙂 You can expect the meeting to last approximately 30-45 minutes,
- If successful, you will be given a job offer proposal.
