This position is assigned to Ute Lake State Park. The park ranger serves the agency mission by enforcing park rules, regulations, and laws and ensuring the safety of visitors and protection of park resources. The ranger provides customer service assisting park visitors through selling permits, providing information, and maintaining order in the park. Additionally this position assists with supervision of seasonal and volunteer positions.
State Park Law Enforcement (LE) Ranger¿s work to patrol and manage New Mexico State Parks and the resources within, to include ensuring the preservation and regulation of outdoor recreational activities and natural resources. Park LE Rangers have full law enforcement authority within New Mexico State Parks and are charged with keeping the peace therein. Law enforcement authority also includes statewide jurisdiction and primary enforcement of the Boat Act.How does it get done?
