Outdoor Education Program Instructor

Spend an unforgettable spring serving with Lutherhaven Ministries in beautiful North Idaho! Lutherhaven Ministries is currently hiring Program Instructors for our spring Outdoor Education season. 

Each spring and fall, 2,500 students in grades 2 – 12 come to Camp Lutherhaven and Shoshone Mountain Retreat for one to five days of environmental studies, team building, and fun! Lead students through challenge course activities, high ropes, canoeing, ecology classes, evening programs, and more. Camp staff positions are tremendously rewarding, incredibly challenging, and almost always life-changing.

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 

• Commitment to children and outdoor learning.
• Affirm basic Christian values and strongly support the goals of Lutherhaven Ministries. Read more about our approach to ministry here.
• Work within the structure of an association ministry, compatible with Christian and secular constituents.
• Positive attitude, energetic, dedicated, and able to be involved in all aspects of the program.
• Foster a lifestyle of stewardship for creation.

Preferred Job Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Experience working with children.
• Teaching experience is not required, but a background and willingness to learn about science or environmental studies is helpful.
• Special skills, like music, singing, storytelling, and group facilitation are a plus!
