Operations & Technology Manager

Our client is in the Financial Services industry and looking to hire a Manager of Operations & Technology for an 18-24-month maternity leave contract for their Vancouver office. The Manager of Operations & Technology is a critical role, working closely with the COO and managing external IT service providers, ensuring all systems function efficiently, and the business needs are met. The Manager of Operations & Technology will implement projects and handle any day-to-day issues as they arise. This position requires someone with 3+ years of experience managing direct reports, combined with 4 years of experience and knowledge in a similar role. Experience with Azure cloud solutions, Microsoft 365 products including SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams.This hands-on role reports directly to the COO and is primarily focused on overseeing operations and technology. The key responsibilities include ensuring the seamless integration of systems to meet business needs, managing project implementations and changes, and addressing any issues that arise.The role involves close collaboration with an externally managed IT services provider and other expert consultants. While deep technical knowledge of all supported systems is not required, a solid foundational understanding of these systems, along with experience in planning and vendor management, is essential.The position includes management of three direct reports and offers an excellent opportunity for a senior-level professional looking to further their career in a collaborative, supportive environment. A transition period of at least two months is planned, with support provided by internal team members and consultants during this time.Benefits & Perks
