Our Client is growing! Due to this growth we are adding an Operations Supervisor on 1st shift.After being in business for 80+ years we are still family owned with our Headquarters in Cleveland, OH but with Facilities all over the country. This facility is located on the West Side Cleveland Area. The Industries we serve are major market segments we serve are Steel, Construction, Energy, Oil and Gas, Automotive, Durable Goods and General Industry

  • $60-75k based on experience
  • 1st shift (5:30am – 2:30pm)
  • Monday – Friday
  • Voluntary Weekend Overtime

Overview
The Operations Supervisor – reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible to work with Sales and operations to ensure customer expectations are met for quality and delivery. Works as the single point of contact for facilitation and communication of project goals, deliverables and schedules and must be an excellent communicator. This role plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead by example: One Plan, One Team, One Goal
  • Implement daily manufacturing schedule for your department(s)
  • Set performance goals and deadlines per the companies plan and communicate them internally
  • Be responsible to promote a safety culture in the workplace
  • Analyze staffing requirements and ensure compliance to production schedules
  • Organize workflow and confirm employees understand their duties and tasks
  • Review and understand standards and code requirements
  • Ensure all products are manufactured with the proper documentations and certifications and manage requirements accordingly
  • Monitor productivity metrics and provide constructive feedback / coaching
  • Hire and train employees to develop technical, teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Conduct timely safety training and safety audits per company policy
  • Embrace an environment conducive to continuous improvement
  • Promote an organized culture for cleanliness organization and workflow
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations of direct reports
  • Adhere to company policies
  • Collect and analyze data to find places of waste and increase efficiencies
  • Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be reliable, trustworthy, honest and commitment oriented
  • Must be a team player with outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to multi-task
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Flexible to work long hours as required to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to sit, walk and move around for long hours at a time

Travel:

  • Travel for this position will be minimal, less than 5% of the time

Expected salary

$60000 – 75000 per year
