Job Description:DP World are currently seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our operation based in Burton upon Trent. In this role you will be responsible for handling the team’s tasks and assignments and making sure employees are appropriately performing. A key element of this role is to oversee the efficient, effective performance of job duties. This role will work across a Mon-Fri shift of 8am-4.30pmAbout the role:

• Supervising, guiding and motivating, a Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse and monitoring the productivity of its staff.
• Provide a safe working environment, adhere to Health and Safety Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team.
• Daily completion of management reports etc.
• Achievement of productivity levels in line with agreed KPI’s
• Ensure the team follows correct processes and Quality standards
• Ensure high standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained
• Provide help and assistance to other departments as and when required
• Assign tasks and troubleshoot any issues
• Always communicate appropriately with external and internal customers
• Coach and Mentor Senior operatives and Team Leads

Your Key Skills:

• Previous experience as an Operations Supervisor working in a Warehouse environment is essential
• Numerate with good communication skills (both spoken and written)
• Team Player
• Warehouse Operations knowledge
• Strong people and performance management skills
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Quality systems knowledge – to a reasonable level be able to monitor staff performance and costs within the department (including, but not limited to: time-keeping, quality, productivity, etc.)
