With a track record of delivering successful projects, we continue to deliver cutting edge solutions to exceed our client’s needs and we are actively seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to join our team in Edinburgh.As Operations Manager with Emtec Building Services, you’ll play a crucial role in propelling business growth and nurturing team development. You will have P&L responsibility for a team delivering revenue in excess of £12M per annum and have a focus on maintaining safety and quality. You’ll also be instrumental in achieving planned business volume and growth.This could be a great opportunity for an established Operations Manager or those who are ready to take the next step in their career.The Role
- Manage and oversee site-based teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures encompassing Health & Safety, Environmental Policy, Quality Assurance and Purchasing
- Lead and mentor site-based teams, fostering a culture of motivation and development.
- Ensure all works are carried out to high standard complying with relevant British Standards and codes of practice.
- Establish and set firm financial targets to meet established objectives, which will include the reporting of financial status to the Commercial Manager.
- Coordinate tendering processes for extra project works to suit client requirements.
- Cultivate strong customer relationships delivering exceptional levels of service.
- Identify new opportunities through existing customer base.
- Provide technical expertise to the customer and site-based teams utilising central departments, specialist suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Offer training and support as needed to enhance the overall effectiveness and success of the business.
What you will need to succeed
- Previous experience in a similar role within an M&E Contracting Setting
- Strong management experience combined with excellent mechanical and electrical technical knowledge
- Exceptional leadership skills with a talent for motivating and inspiring the team
- Experience managing office and site-based teams
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
