Location: Gloucestershire
Salary: Competitive and negotiable, depending on experience and skills. We offer a base salary typically in the range of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum. Performance-related bonuses and other benefits will be discussed with the right candidate. We are seeking an experienced and versatile Operations Manager to join our team at a well-established English vineyard and hospitality venue. The successful individual will immerse themselves in the business, mastering all operational aspects of both the winery and hospitality divisions. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a diverse background, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to lead both the tourism and wine production sides of the business with confidence. The right person will also be comfortable working closely with guests, conducting vineyard tours, and managing the food and beverage operations. A passion for wine and hospitality is essential, as is the confidence to bring new ideas and implement positive changes where needed.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations across vineyard, winery, and hospitality, ensuring seamless coordination and excellence.Work closely with the General Manager, who is primarily focused on front office operations, to ensure smooth guest experiences.Lead, mentor, and inspire teams across multiple departments to achieve business goals.Drive operational improvements, focusing on productivity, quality, and guest satisfaction.Conduct vineyard tours and represent the business with enthusiasm and knowledge.Monitor budgets, optimize resource allocation, and control costs efficiently.Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Represent the business at industry events and with key stakeholders, enhancing brand reputation.About You:Proven experience in an operations management role—experience beyond hospitality and restaurants is highly desirable.Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing diverse teams.Commercially astute with the ability to drive efficiency and productivity.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strategic mindset.Effective communicator, able to engage with team members, stakeholders, and visitors alike.Passionate about both wine production and hospitality, with an understanding of tourism operations.Confident in delivering vineyard tours and engaging with guests.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Work in a stunning rural vineyard setting with a focus on quality and guest experience.Varied daily tasks and hands-on experience across different departments.Opportunity to work in an inspiring, picturesque environment that fosters creativity and passion.Supportive, close-knit team environment that values collaboration and growth.Discounts on wine and events held on-site.
