This is a role within a developing multi-disciplinary respiratory high care team. The therapy team is led by a Respiratory Advanced Practitioner supported by Physiotherapists, Speech & Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist. While the focus of this role will be on the High Care Unit, it is envisaged that the incumbent with link with the critical care unit and the home ventilation service.You will need to have a high level of expertise to carry out expert OT assessments, design treatment and rehabilitation plans, to support patients in respiratory failure as a result of obstructive, restrictive lung disease, lung fibrosis and neurological conditions. This will encompass complex discharge but will a broad range of skills to address cognitive, physical and mental health will be required.Key Responsibilities:
