Job Description:We are seeking for an Occupational Health Nurse to join our team in Stanford-Le-Hope. Under the supervision of the Occupational Health Advisor, this position will provide professional health surveillance, conduct safety critical medicals, screening, DSE assessments, and health promotion/wellbeing services. We are searching for someone with occupational health experience, who can give flu vaccines and enjoys working in a fast-paced operations setting.Conducting health surveillance and screening programs for both employees and contractors, in line with HSE requirements and Medical Standards, includes but is not limited to:

• Drivers Medical
• Drug and Alcohol Testing
• Spirometry
• Audiometry
• HAVs tier 1-2
• Skin Surveillance
• Safety Critical
• Forklift truck

About The Role
How will you contribute:

• To undertake pre-employment health assessments;

• To carry out periodic safety critical medicals;

• To undertake DSE desk assessments, where requested and communicate the results of these

• Where appropriate, to liaise with the medical secretary and occupational health advisor to plan appropriate follow up and further actions for anything that falls outside of normal parameters;

• To assist in the updating and maintenance of the computerised occupational health recording system including the recording of clinical outcomes and test results;

• To be responsible for the safe use and maintenance of equipment;

• To run health promotion and wellbeing campaigns;

• To comply with the registration requirements of the NMC;

• To maintain medical confidentiality and work within the GDPR;

• To participate in audits as appropriate;

• Manage and administer the Flu Vaccine programm

What will you Bring.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Registered General Nurse (NMC Registered)
• Minimum of 3 years post registration experience
• In date vaccination / CPR Anaphylaxis training
• Previous experience working as an OH Nurse in an internal OH department an advantage.
• Experience working in an operational or safety critical environment advantageous
• Evidence of CPD
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Computer literate and system savvy; experience working with all Microsoft applications and medical systems
