Key Responsibilities:As a Network Security Analyst, your responsibilities could include, but are not limited to:Reviewing, analyzing, and applying internet security protocols such as SSL, S-HTTP, S-MIME, IPSec, SSHTCP/IP, UDP, DNS, SMTP, SNMPApproved GC Cryptographic AlgorithmsDirectory Standards such as X.400, X.500, and SMTPNetworking protocols (for example, HTTP, FTP, Telnet)Network hardening (e.g., shell scripting, service identification)Implementing technical IT security safeguards and utilizing IT security tools and techniquesWorking with operating systems such as MS, Unix, Linux, and NovellManaging intrusion detection systems and firewallsHandling network routers, multiplexers, and switchesWireless technology securityAnalyzing security data and providing advisories and reportsConducting impact analysis for new software implementations, major configuration changes, and patch managementDeveloping proof-of-concept models and trials for IT securityDesigning/developing IT security protocolsIdentifying and analyzing technical threats to and vulnerabilities of networksAnalyzing IT security tools and techniquesSupporting authorization and authentication in both physical and logical environmentsPreparing tailored IT security alerts and advisories from open and closed sourcesCompleting tasks related to supporting the departmental IT security and cyber protection programDeveloping and delivering training material relevant to the resource categoryExperience Levels We Are Currently Interviewing For:Level 1: Less than 5 years of experienceLevel 2: 5 to less than 10 years of experienceLevel 3: 10 or more years of experienceAdditional Information:Please include any certifications, industry knowledge, and technologies you have worked with in your application.Even if you don’t fully meet every requirement, we will still be open to review your application.
