Job DescriptionJob ID#:4562Job Category:AdministrativeOur well-established client is currently seeking a Network & Systems Engineer to join their growing team. This is a full time – hybrid opportunity!Responsibilities of the Network & Systems Engineer will include:
- Configure, manage, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize resources for maximum efficiency.
- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
- Design, implement, and manage network protocols, IP addressing, and subnets.
- Install, configure, and maintain server systems (physical or virtual) running various operating systems like Windows Server, Linux, etc.
- Manage user accounts
- Implement security best practices to protect network and system infrastructure from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats.
- Keep systems and software up to date with the latest security patches and updates.
- Collaborate with the SecOps team to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, etc.
- Respond to and resolve user-reported technical issues related to network connectivity, hardware, software, and system functionality.
- Provide timely technical support to end-users and colleagues, both remotely and on-site.
- Troubleshoot complex problems using system logs, monitoring tools, and diagnostic utilities.

Job RequirementsQualifications of the Network & Systems Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Demonstrated track record as a Network and Systems Administrator.
- Profound understanding of networking protocols, architectures, and technologies.
- Proficient in configuring, troubleshooting, and managing network devices and systems.
- Familiarity with server operating systems, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms.
- Sound grasp of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities for addressing intricate technical issues.
- Effective communication skills for seamless collaboration with colleagues, end-users, and vendors.
- Relevant certifications like CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, etc., are advantageous.
