Now, we’re looking for a passionate and driven individual to join our team and help us make an even bigger impact.Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and experience Net Zero Technology Specialist to join our innovative team focused on driving sustainable solutions in the fight against climate change. In this role, you will possess a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of the latest technologies in renewable energy and sustainability, and the ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.You will not only contribute to our corporate sustainability goals but also have the opportunity to influence industry standards and drive widespread change in environmental practices.   • Lead the development and delivery of strategies to achieve net zero carbon emissions across the client estate
  • Conduct energy audits and feasibility studies, produce reports identifying improvement measures
  • Develop targeted carbon reduction plans for high-impact assets and a long-term five-year roadmap
  • Provide technical advice on energy efficiency and monitor energy and water use across the portfolio
  • Shape energy strategies for new builds and refurbishments to meet future performance targets
  • Manage the net zero budget and allocate resources for projects and monitoring
  • Identify external funding and drive innovation in sustainability practices
  • Maintain and report data and KPIs on decarbonisation; provide actionable insights
  • Embed decarbonisation into the strategic asset management plan and daily operations
  • Support key sustainability programmes and drive adoption of emerging technologies
  • Ensure compliance by engaging with consultants, regulatory bodies, and external partners
  • Promote a net zero culture through awareness and education initiatives
  • Work with technical teams to ensure supplier compliance and technical excellence
  • Review systems, resources, and procedures to meet sustainability goals
  • Drive innovation and best practices across the portfolio
  • Monitor technical performance and recommend improvements
  • Build business cases to support sustainable operational enhancements
  • Meet contractual performance targets and serve as the energy management subject expert

More About You

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) and/or professionally qualified in building, environmental, or asset management. Or be able to demonstrate relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience of building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver shared objectives
  • Strong background in delivering sustainable solutions and driving action against climate change
  • Proven experience in implementing net zero technological solutions
  • Skills in managing and analysing complex data sets, including large databases, and proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to identify risks, and produce reports from several systems
  • Experience in using technology to drive transformation and enhance business performance
  • Knowledge of building technologies and their impacts on the lifecycle of components
  • Working knowledge of housing law, leaseholder consultation, new building safety legislation and property management legislation
  • Proven experience in developing and executing strategies to achieve net zero carbon emissions across estates
  • Confident in providing technical and operational advice on carbon reduction and energy efficiency, and in monitoring energy and water use across building portfolios
  • Knowledge of financial management, forecasting and modelling training or experience
  • Qualifications or experience related to MCIOB, RICS or equivalent are desirable
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car would be desirable
