.NET Developer
Edinburgh (must be based within commuting distance)
Hybrid working (2 days per week in office)iO Associates are working with a financial technology business in Edinburgh, they are a fast growing charity focused fin tech platform with a lot on offer. Most of the team have been with the business for 5 years or more as they’ve got excellent retention.We are searching for a .NET developer to join the team in the new year, this is a growth hire due to new platforms within the business.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain software applications using the .NET framework, C#, and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise applications to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and database-driven solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies to recommend improvements to existing systems.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a .NET Developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/Framework.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Familiarity with databases like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, Web Services, and microservices architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks (React) would be beneficial but is not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Certifications in .NET or related technologies.

Expected salary

£48000 – 55000 per year
