As a Band 5 Trainee Neonatal Nurse, you will receive the training, support, and development needed to become Qualified in Specialty (QIS), building the knowledge and confidence to deliver high-quality, family-centred care.This is a fantastic development opportunity to start or transition into a neonatal nursing career. As a trainee, you will benefit from a full induction programme and a structured preceptorship, supported by our dedicated Education Team. You will be a motivated and enthusiastic person who embraces change and welcomes new opportunities.You will work as part of a team looking after the Wessex Region’s most complex neonates and will be supported to do this by working alongside a highly skilled team whilst working collaboratively with families encompassing Family Integrated Care.UHS NICU is a cardiac and surgical centre which takes referrals from across the Wessex Region and works collaboratively with regional maternity services to ensure NHS England’s ‘Better Birth’s’ agenda is adhered to.We are fortunate to have many exciting teams within NICU including the regional transport service (SONET), family support and psychology team, surgical specialist nurses amongst many other expert sub teams.
