Job Title: Multi Site Environment Manager
Job Summary:
The Multi site Environment Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental strategies, policies, and programs to ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations. The role involves managing environmental risks, driving environment & sustainability initiatives, and fostering a culture of environmental stewardship across the organization.
This Standard Work is a minimum requirement and provides a cadence to all MSEM’s:

Monitoring & Measurement of WADM Compliance • Sharing of Biweekly status update on WADM for all BU (review docs in shipments, last login above 60 days, container login and status, generation of waste (SIM mechanism), containers and shipments nearing due dates).
- Updating Weekly Business Review (WBR) and Brilliant Basic (BB) decks.
- Awareness and training sessions for Site Team related to WADM.
- Tracking of closure correction through ATS/ CA.
- Validation of the data generated as per the inputs of RME and Ops (AMZL, ATS and AMXL) and compliance audit on floor Daily

General & Non-Hazardous Waste Management • Reviewing Non-hazardous waste generation records and certificates of disposal (on sample basis). –
1. Generation records at site

5. Review the waste process map and handling practices at site.
6. Co-ordination with vendor along with procurement for waste vendor check and COD Weekly

Environmental Performance Index (EPI) (%) • Compliance assurance verification as per permit conditions (on-site)
- Checking of EPI dashboard and connecting with Site Team for closure and follow-up. Weekly mail for training, inspections, CA & ATS follow up.
- CC task review and rectification if required.
- Guide Team while the visit/incident is getting punched. (As and when required).
- To ensure all incidents alerts (spill, sewage overflow and leakage etc.) are shared with Env Team and timely recorded in Austin and incident report is shared with Regional Team (within 48 hours). Sharing alerts. (As and when required).
- Training of EPI to stakeholders.
- Cutting of SIMs in case of issues & tracking the same. Weekly
Environmental Procedures Monitoring & Measurement • Gap analysis of the procedures and their compliances as per the existing status of the site.
- Driving the compliance closure as per the procedural requirements site wise and communication to leadership.
- Making central repository to save all documents (procedures, training modules, procedure implementation tracker, back up documentation etc.) for ease Access of SPOC and WHS Team. Weekly
Environmental Permitting Compliance • Updation of documentation related to Permit.
- Permit conditions review and status update/ correction. As and when required

Capability Development • Selecting pool of team members (20% WHS, Ops & RME) for capability development training programme.
- Organizing classroom session for awareness
- Making internal audit schedules. Monthly
Training & development • Assigning of trainings to relevant stakeholders. Tracking the training completion status.
- On site trainings to the relevant stakeholders regarding procedure requirements and implementation on floor. Weekly
CA & ATS • Raising the ATS in Austin in case of findings observed and non-compliances in case any.
- Weekly review of compliance calendar focusing on the quality of tasks closed.
- Sharing monthly compliance status Weekly

REM Engagement, Inspections and Action Tracking • To meet with Operations, WHS and RME during site visits. Review environmental requirements and answer any questions related to implementation at the site. Shar the updates/ concerns with the respective leaders.
- Track site-based findings in regional level Quip/ Asana and share weekly tracker with leadership. Weekly
Implementation of Audit Pillar • Conducting site visit and audit across the BU’s.
- Updating the observations in ATS and tracking closure compliances of the same via Quip/ Asana.
- Audit compliance status update to be shared with relevant stakeholders Weekly
Data Collation and Deck Updation • Sharing required data for MBR & QBR.
- Data collation and review basis the COD & NRGP received (on sample basis).

Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Compliance Management:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, permits, and standards
- Develop and implement environmental management systems, procedures, and training programs
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and conduct required environmental reporting and auditing
- Identify and address any environmental compliance gaps or issues.
2. Environmental Risk Management:
- Conduct environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Implement processes to identify, evaluate, and manage environmental risks
- Develop emergency response and spill prevention plans to address potential environmental incidents
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste
3. Sustainability Initiatives:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the organization’s environmental performance and reduce its carbon footprint
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for resource conservation, waste reduction, and renewable energy adoption
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability practices into business operations
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress towards sustainability goals
4. Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, industry groups, and community organizations
- Prepare and present environmental performance reports to executive management and other relevant parties
- Participate in industry forums, conferences, and networking events to stay informed on best practices and emerging trends
5. Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of environmental specialists and technicians
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the environmental expertise of the team
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and environmental stewardship within the organization
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an environmental management or sustainability role
- Thorough understanding of environmental regulations and best practices
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Project management skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Familiarity with environmental management systems and data analysis tools
- Certification in Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001) or related programs is preferred
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an environmental management or sustainability role
- Thorough understanding of environmental regulations and best practices
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
