OverviewWe are recruiting for a Motor Engineer to join our growing team in Ipswich.Your day-to-day will involve engaging with drivers and policyholders, addressing business queries, and mentoring our talented engineering team. You’ll also collaborate with field engineering companies, customers, and clients, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service delivery.
How you’ll make an impact

• Authorise estimates and invoices over £2500 up to Client Delegated Authority Level
• Act on independent engineers’ reports
• Liaise with drivers and policy holders
• Assist with business queries as needed
• Mentor engineering team members
• Coordinate with field engineering companies, customers, and clients

About You

• Technical experience in bodywork or mechanical field, ideally with VDA / IAEA / IMI qualification
• Knowledge of estimating systems and modern vehicle repair methods
• Ability to plan and manage priorities
• Understanding of company’s market position and client needs
• Awareness of new technologies and trends in the repair industry
• Expertise in motor claims handling practices
• Strong negotiation and resolution skills
• Eligble to work in the UK
