Flexible work arrangements are available for this position, which include the option to work remotely within the United States. Applicants residing outside of Texas but within the United States and its territories may be considered for remote work, subject to approval by the Central Office.

This position provides life/work balance with typically a 40-hour work week and travel limited to training (e.g., conferences/courses).

This position requires you to maintain internet service and a mobile phone with voice and data plans to be used when required for work.

Purpose

Enterprise Technology – Campus Solutions is seeking a driven, motivated individual with knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Atlassian Confluence and excellent customer service skills. The candidate selected will learn about our complex and heterogeneous architecture, deliver innovative solutions to campus, and provide support for the entire technology stack while evolving their technical skills to meet the needs of our students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored assistance to colleges, schools, and units in training, adoption, and effective use of technology platforms.
  • Assist with routine support of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and related tasks and technologies.
  • Assist with routine support of Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Assist with routine support of Atlassian Confluence, Guard, Rovo, and related tasks and technologies.
  • Build documentation and map out processes in line with best practices.
  • Assist in testing and deploying new Microsoft 365 services by identifying areas of need and executing enhancements in partnership with senior technical staff.
  • Perform other related functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen, resident, or officially recognized asylee – Applicant selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.
  • Two or more years of professional experience in system administration or software development.
  • One or more years of professional experience supporting enterprise-scale services.
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Atlassian Confluence, Atlassian Guard and/or other related platforms.
  • Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with a diverse customer base (students, faculty, staff, and executive leadership).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task, organize, and follow-up with customers, colleagues, and leadership.
  • Ability to learn and embrace new technologies.
  • Strong assessment skills and demonstrated good judgment in making business decisions.

Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of professional experience in system administration or software development.
  • Two or more years of professional experience supporting enterprise-scale services.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Atlassian administration.
  • Previous experience with PowerShell and/or Python in a production environment.
  • Previous experience with low-code or no-code development tools.
  • Previous experience with ServiceNow or comparable ITSM platforms.
  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures.

Salary Range

$75,000 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

  • May work around standard office conditions
  • Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
  • Use of manual dexterity (ex: using a mouse)

Work Shift

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Occasional overtime and/or nights/weekends are required.
