We are currently hiring for a Journeyman Millwright role for a compressor shop located in Calgary, Alberta. This job opportunity will provide full time hours, long term benefits with stability and longevity for the right candidate. There will also be opportunity for growth and pay increases.

Job Title: Millwright

Job Description

• The candidate will be primarily servicing BOP stacks – working with double gates, annulars, spools, tongs, elevators, and cylinders.

• They will be responsible for the disassembly and assembly of the units, inspection and dimensional reports, troubleshooting fixes, pressure testing, load testing, pull testing, and coordinating fixes with other internal departments.

• Over time, the contractor will be moved around to work on other objects as necessary to expand their knowledge base.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble BOP stacks and related equipment.

• Inspect and create dimensional reports.

• Troubleshoot and fix issues with equipment.

• Perform pressure testing, load testing, and pull testing.

• Coordinate repairs with other internal departments.

• Read and interpret blueprints and P&ID.

• Fill out inspection reports accurately.

Essential Skills

• 3 years of experience as a Millwright with assembly and disassembly of industrial equipment.

• Proficiency in measuring tools such as vernier, caliper, and tape measure.

• Experience with hydraulic test benches and overhead cranes.

• Ability to read blueprints and P&ID.

• Experience in assembly, service, and pneumatics.

• The shift – Days and Afternoons – 4x10s – OT

• Pate of pay: $32 – $42 hr depending on exp
