This is a hands-on role that requires you to apply your knowledge and skills across multiple engineering disciplines. You will work alongside experienced technicians to develop expertise in areas like:
Throughout the apprenticeship program, you will work towards an Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering (Mechatronics Maintenance), gaining both practical, on-the-job experience and earning industry-recognized qualifications. Year 1 is full-time residential (classroom) training at one of our training provider facilities. As a result, you may be required to work away from home Monday to Friday each week during term time (costs will be supported by Amazon), combined with short periods working at one of our operations warehouses. Subsequent years will comprise day or block release training at a specialist college where you will study for an HNC in Engineering/Mechatronics, and on-the-job training in a Fulfilment/Sortation Centre or Delivery Station among our team of technicians and engineers.To be successful in this role, you should have a genuine passion for engineering and technology, good problem-solving abilities, and the motivation to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience is not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.This is a unique opportunity to build a rewarding career, working on complex, high-value equipment in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
