Job DescriptionThe Marketing Chapter Leader is responsible for leading a high-performing team of marketers, overseeing their recruitment, onboarding, continuous skill development, and long-term career growth. This role focuses on building marketing excellence and guiding marketers as they deliver on strategic initiatives and executional success. By mentoring and coaching marketers, the Chapter Leader ensures that everyone reaches their full potential, contributing to brand performance and meeting Objectives and Key Results within agile customer teams.A key partner to the therapeutic area U.S. Commercial Leader (USCL), the Marketing Chapter Leader ensures the customer agile teams’ marketing needs are addressed and supports broader strategic and executional objectives. The role requires someone who can “swarm” to critical business challenges, driving both immediate outcomes and long-term innovation.Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of delivering marketing excellence across different segments and therapeutic areas, especially within complex organizations, and a deep commitment to developing people. This high-visibility position offers the opportunity to lead a large marketing team and play a key role in the US Pharma Extended Leadership Team, setting the stage for future leadership roles.This role will report into Cris Regent, AVP – US CV/Metabolic Leader, will lead the marketers for our Atherosclerosis team, and is based in Upper Gwynedd, PA site.Core Responsibilities:Marketing Excellence & Strategy: Develop high performing marketers so they can deliver on strategic initiatives and executional excellence within their customer agile teams.Team Development & Leadership: Mentor and coach marketers, focusing on their career development, ongoing skill enhancement, and growth along a marketing maturity model. Implement individualized development plans and track progress.Business Support & Agility: Partner with USCLs, Product Marketing Owners, and Scrum Masters to drive business results, ensure team health, and foster a positive team culture. Participate in identifying marketer flex opportunities across the BU that support skill enhancement and career growth while driving business priorities.Cross-functional Leadership: Participate in strategic discussions and collaborate across functions to solve complex business challenges. Provide enterprise-wide solutions that go beyond brand-specific goals.Agile Transformation: Support the execution of agile principles across the marketing organization, ensuring effective implementation and continuous improvement and assist in the continued assessment and evolution of the Marketing chapter model.Key Qualifications:Marketing Mastery: A minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing, with proven success in working on launches and delivering business results.Leadership Excellence: Demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing teams, with a passion for fostering talent and creating future leaders.Strategic Influence: Ability to navigate large organizations, influence senior stakeholders, and contribute to business unit/enterprise-level initiatives.Agility & Innovation: Knowledgeable in agile principles with a demonstrated ability to apply them in marketing contexts, driving business outcomes and continuous improvement.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree / MBAExperience in large-scale, matrixed organizationsProven track record in leading change and innovationNOTICE FOR INTERNAL APPLICANTSIn accordance with all employees subject to this policy are required to have a minimum of twelve (12) months of service in current position prior to applying for open positions.If you have been offered a separation benefits package, but have not yet reached your separation date and are offered a position within the salary and geographical parameters as set forth in the Summary Plan Description (SPD) of your separation package, then you are no longer eligible for your separation benefits package.
