Job Description:The Manager, Workgroup Resources is responsible for managing the activities of their team of customer support technicians with the purpose of providing a high level of machine reliability and customer satisfaction; and, thereby, ensuring all team and branch performance and cost targets are met.The position is also responsible for People Management activities, including but not limited to: hiring, coaching, performance management, development, corrective action and termination.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Ensure profitability and KPI’s * Provide daily direction and support to team of customer support technicians

  • Monitor territory and manpower requirements and advise Branch TS leadership
  • Ensure training of all personnel
  • Prepare and conduct all technical and/or general meetings
  • Prepare monthly statistical reviews for all personnel and ensure the appropriate distribution (i.e., immediate supervisor and the assigned personnel)
  • Visit major accounts to ensure excellent customer relations
  • Monitor customer inquiries and/or complaints and to ensure investigation and resolutions of incurred problems
  • Ensure that all assigned technical representatives maintain Ricoh equipment (i.e., tool kits, cars, etc.) in a safe and professional manner
  • Communicate all concerns/problems to immediate manager
  • Maintain accurate car stock, counted quarterly plus assist in technicians counts as well and provide feedback or suggestions
  • Work with Sales management/Sales staff to help generate additional revenue
  • Assist on special projects as assigned by manager
  • People Management activities, including but not limited to: hiring, coaching, performance management, development, corrective action and termination
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications):

  • Post-Secondary Education, preferably in an electrical or mechanical discipline
  • Technical Certifications (Net+, A+, Comp TIA or equivalent certification)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field or related area

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly develop business relationships
  • Strong product and technical knowledge of digital multifunction devices
  • Strong self-motivation to drive results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to improve customer support
  • Maintain and develop positive professional relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Strong computer related skills
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office applications

Other Requirements:

  • Requires a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as this position involves local travel on a regular basis (and auto insurance coverage per Ricoh’s policy)
