Job Category: Table GamesJob Description:Position Summary:Under the general direction of the Assistant General Manager, this position is responsible for the overall management and profitability of the table games operations at the site level. Assists with the planning and directing of table games strategic plans. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and provides a learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports. Implements all new table games initiatives as directed. Actively participates in the recruitment and hiring process.Key Accountabilities:
- Provides leadership, direction and mentoring to the table games operation; develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports
- Implements table games strategic plans as directed
- May monitor slot operations at some locations
- Co-signs cheques for verified winners
- Monitors all table games reporting including labour costs
- Proposes improvements to the floor plan and gaming mix; implements changes as directed
- Promotes and participates in all table games marketing initiatives
- May act as Shift Manager
- Responds to and resolves issues as escalated
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and employees
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma; Post-Secondary education or a suitable combination of education and experience an asset
- Knowledge and experience in a variety of table games required
- Minimum 4 years of experience in gaming management
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- Computer literacy in MS Office
