Join us as we build a knowledgeable and collaborative team that courageously changes how transit projects will be delivered.The Ontario Line project within the Capital Projects Group is seeking a Manager to provide project management and subject matter expertise, specific to the advance works portfolio supporting the delivery of the Ontario Line.What will I be doing?

• Managing the delivery of assigned projects through construction, including the commissioning of utility infrastructure and the transfer of assets to City of Toronto.
• Working with the Technical Advisor, Delivery Partner, and Internal and External stakeholders, manage and coordinate schedules, technical requirement inputs, and contractual obligations.
• Oversee consultant and contractor performance, identify existing and potential issues, and initiate corrective action to avoid serious project delays or budget impacts
• Actively lead contract management in order to achieve project schedule, quality, safety, and budget objectives.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and other schedule requirements.
• Provide input to resolution of construction, technical, and stakeholder issues to mitigate risks, ensure communication, and assist in major infrastructure decisions.
• Build, develop and maintain excellent relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders critical to the successful delivery of the project.

What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?

• Completion of a degree in applied science, engineering, or a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
• Demonstrates project management experience in large capital project management and implementation. Experience in municipal utility construction is an asset.
• Possession of a related professional designation, such as P.Eng. and/or PMP would be an asset
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, collaboration and communications skills
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies to manage construction projects from start to completion; knowledgeable of procurement processes in order to identify opportunities for improvements and cost savings
• Risk analysis and risk mitigation experience in order to actively manage and resolve project risks, or escalate program impediments with the potential to disrupt or jeopardize the project.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex project issues and risks,
