JOB SUMMARY:The Manager of Clinical Practice is responsible for the daily operations. Responsibilities include planning and executing activities related to service delivery and performance management of nurses. Provides effective leadership and clinical support to nurses. In conjunction with the Senior Manager, Bundled Care Programs, monitors contractual performance through analysis, tracking and trending and implements strategies for performance improvement.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCEThe Manager of Clinical Practice must demonstrate ongoing competency in completing all expected duties and responsibilities as detailed in this job description as well as specific goals and objectives that are agreed to.PERFORMANCE REVIEWPerformance will be reviewed on an ongoing basis with a formal review at the end of the three month probationary period and subsequently, on at least an annual basis. Input will be sought from the employee, their Supervisor, employees at the Unit and in addition, will be based on ongoing client feedback and the extent to which performance meets expectations.QualificationsEducation
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing at the RN level. Preference given to those who hold a BN or BScN degreeCurrent registration with the provincial regulating body.Current CPR certification required.Experience
At least three (3) years of recent experience with progressive responsibilities as a Nursing Supervisor, preferably in a community setting.Other RequirementsExceptional interpersonal skills and ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format; ability to work independently and effectively lead a team.Excellent report writing and communication skills with both Field and Administrative employees.Valid driver’s license,, auto insurance and reliable vehicleSolid knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of community nursing and service delivery to clients as well as program development, implementation and evaluation.Bayshore is committed to a high quality and safe environment for both our staff and clients/patients.
