Position Title: Manager, Community & Partnership Development
Status: Contract – 1 Year
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Community Outreach and Workforce Development

Minimum Starting Salary: $103,276About the Community Outreach & Workforce Development Dept. at Humber:
COWD has a mandate to support access to post-secondary, training and the workforce for those who are under-represented in these areas, including, but not limited to, newcomers, women, racialized persons, Indigenous Peoples, and youth. COWD seeks to do this through collaborative partnerships with faculty & departments, industry, and community stakeholders on a variety of projects, initiatives, programs and services using an assets-based community development (ABCD) approach. Program participants are valued for the assets they are able to contribute as they seek to further build their skills and knowledge. Taking an ABCD approach ensures that all stakeholders are able to contribute and benefit from the collaboration, with the ultimate goal of enhancing local social and economic development.About the Role:Under the direction of the Director, Community Outreach & Workforce Development, the Manager, Community & Partnership Development is responsible for leading a staff team that is carrying out engagement and community development in Humber’s local communities, in support of its strategic priority of access to education, training and employment for equity deserving groups.. These groups include: immigrants, marginalized youth, Indigenous Peoples, first generation students, Crown Wards, unemployed individuals & disadvantaged women. The incumbent works closely with community organizations & networks, schools & other stakeholders such as industry to develop programs & services & to source funding for the delivery of such initiatives. This entails researching, planning, developing, delivering and evaluating new initiatives tailored to address identified needs to support access to postsecondary education, training and/or employment.Duties include but not limited to:

The successful candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Education, Community Development or related field or relevant background in adult education, curriculum and/or program development.
