• Develop, update, and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
• Act as the escalation point for advanced technical issues from Tier 1/2 support engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents involving servers, networks, databases, applications, and cloud services.
• Mentor and train junior team members to foster growth and skill development.
• Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues and recommend service improvements.
• Implement automation solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support of critical incidents.
• Maintain and optimize internal IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and high performance.
• Plan and execute technology upgrades to support organizational growth.
• Proactively monitor client systems, addressing potential issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with the service delivery team to exceed client expectations and meet SLAs.
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Job RequirementsRequired qualifications of the Managed Services Engineer:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows System Administration (Desktop and Server).
• Strong networking expertise, including protocols, topologies, and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation.
• Expertise in Microsoft Intune, Azure/Entra, Microsoft 365, and SQL Server.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN/VPN design and administration.
• Strong organizational skills, with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.

Preferred qualifications of the Managed Services Engineer:

• Experience with Cisco IOS, ASA, and Remote Monitoring and Management tools.
• Proficiency in Linux administration.
• Knowledge of ITIL or other service management frameworks.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and advanced IT security practices.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, and project management software.
• Automation experience (e.g., Rewst, OpenAI).
