What you will be doing:
In both an office setting and in the “field” (Remote Alaskan villages), the Remote Maintenance Worker (RMW) position provides training and technical assistance to rural utility operators. This position must show initiative and an ability to work independently in the field, applying specific skills in plumbing and pipefitting, electronics and electrical troubleshooting, carpentry, and general building maintenance to find solutions to operation and maintenance problems encountered in village water and sewer systems. This position is also called upon to provide immediate emergency response to rural Alaskan utility systems to avert a potential catastrophic failure.
The applicant must have the ability to assess the situation, formulate a plan and make appropriate decisions to follow through to completion of the project or resolution of the problem or issue.

We offer the opportunity to Telework (work from home) once the incumbent is competent with the duties and responsibilities of the position.
