Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic – Urgently Hiring
Pay: $25+/hr DOE
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (some flexibility, occasional overtime/weekends)
Start Date: ASAPWe are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a full-time position with our client, a single-shift sawmill, planer mill, and dry kiln facility located in Baldwin, Maine. The Maintenance Mechanic will play a critical role in ensuring all machinery and equipment are in top working order to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The Maintenance Mechanic will thrive in a hands-on environment, proactively addressing mechanical issues and supporting day-to-day production needs. This is a day-shift position located in Baldwin, ME.As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for:Performing routine maintenance on machinery and equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspectionsTroubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues, then executing timely repairsInstalling new machinery and equipment as neededMaintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performedEnsuring compliance with safety regulations and company policiesCommunicating with production staff to identify and resolve equipment issues impacting operationsConducting welding and metal fabrication repairsWorking with hydraulic and pneumatic systemsThe ideal candidate for this role will have:A high school diploma or equivalentA minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or sawmill settingProficiency in welding and metal fabrication (required)Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals and schematicsExperience with hand and power toolsKnowledge of safety protocols and proceduresSelf-motivation and the ability to work independently or as part of a teamFlexibility to work overtime and weekends when neededPhysical ability to perform hands-on mechanical work throughout the shiftBenefits:Enjoy affordable health and prescription coverage with no waiting periodBenefits offered by the employer once hired permanentlyAsk us about our Referral Bonus Program to earn extra cashReady to take the next step?
