Gi Pro Maintenance are working with a well-established UK manufacturer in the fresh food and FMCG sector, with an annual turnover of over £500 million and more than 1,200 employees across multiple UK sites, hiring a Maintenance Engineer to join its West Sussex-based facility and support with rapidly expanding production capabilities.The role involves responding to both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdowns across a range of food production equipment, including conveyors, wash tank pumps, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, control panels and safety circuits. Engineers will be expected to be skilled in fault-finding, maintaining accurate shift logs via a CMMS as well as basic knowledge of PLCs (Mitsubishi, Siemens etc..)The facility champions a culture of empowerment and technical excellence, where engineers are trusted to make decisions and contribute meaningfully to operational success. • Previous maintenance experience, ideally within food manufacturing but open to all industries.
• An electrical bias (70/30 or 60/40) with knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, safety circuits and PLCs.
• Level 3 electrical qualifications (NVQ/BTEC) or equivalent.
• An engineer that has strong communication skills, highly organised, proactive and willing to take initiative.
