Responsibilities

• Ensure team are trained to the required standard and all new starters have a meaningful and effective induction to the business
• Manage holiday scheduling to ensure adequate shift coverage and meet operational requirements
• Oversee and track employee absences
• Assume full responsibility for the logistics department during night shift or in their absence
• Ensure Company Health and Safety and Hygiene rules are adhered to
• Ensure all Customer requirements are met
• Maintain stock control/ integrity in the area of work
• Liaise/communicate with all other team members where necessary
• Meet required deadlines through prioritising own work
• Keeping required information/data/records for auditing purposes up to date

Shift patternWe operate a rotational shift pattern covering 6 to 6 covering days and nights. You will work a total of 14 days over a 28-day period. Typically you would be working as follows:Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Reporting into the Logistics Department Manager you will be responsible for Supervising a team of Logistics Operatives ensuring all customer orders are dispatched safely and on time and that our raw materials are stored correctly and made available for our production teams.Responsibilities;Ensure team are trained to the required standard and all new starters have a meaningful and effective induction to the businessEnsure Company Health and Safety and Hygiene rules are always adhered to.Ensure all Customer requirements (internal and external) are met in full wherever possible.Liaise/communicate with all areas/departments where necessary.Responsible for H&S and GMP across Raw, Drystores and Despatch areasManage holidays for shift to ensure appropriate crewing levels to meet business needs,Manage absence.Ensuring supply of Packaging to Unitize and Production.Full Logistics area responsibility when on nights or in the absence of Logistics Department ManagerEnsure smooth communications between hauliers and planning/production so that when collections times change production can still achieve 100% finished goods availabilitySkills & Experience:Previous experience of supervising a team of logistics operatives or warehouse staff.Possess and promotes a positive attitude.Motivated and results driven, with the ability to inspire others to deliver.Promotes a collaborative team environment.Excellent attention to detailHighly organised and able to see the bigger picture.About you;Positive AttitudeMotivated and DrivenStrong Organisational SkillsTeam PlayerStrong attention to detailApproachableShift pattern; (DELETE AS NEEDED)We operate a rotational shift pattern covering 7 to 7 covering days and nights.
