- Assist legal counsels supporting sales teams.
- Work on advanced legal matters.
- Participate in and assist with customer negotiations.
- Draft initial versions of legal documents such as contracts, correspondence, and summaries.
- Create contract records in the contract management system and utilize digital tools.
- Review and amend various legal and business documents as requested by assigned legal counsels.
- Participate in the development and drafting of Cisco’s internal legal documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including legal translation and legal research.
Required skills:
- Languages: Fluent in English and French (additional languages are a plus).
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage frequent changes in priorities, deadlines, and workload.
- Business/Legal Knowledge: Ability to learn about Cisco’s business and legal environment and apply this knowledge effectively.
- Communication and Influence: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey legal and business issues concisely.
- Continuous Learning: Demonstrated capacity and desire to learn new concepts and quickly apply them.
- Organizational Abilities: Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects and meet demanding deadlines.
Legal skills:
- Master’s degree in law (equivalent of bac+5).
- Solid knowledge of commercial law, focusing on contract, IP, and IT law (knowledge of French and English law is preferred).
- Ability to read and understand complex contract provisions.
- Proficiency in creating English legal documents for internal and external use.
- Understanding of industry practices on legal issues.
General Business skills:
- Ability to concisely convey information and ideas both in writing and verbally.
- Operate effectively within a professional legal team environment.
- Manage the timely achievement of specific goals.
- Anticipate and respond to the requirements of Cisco’s legal counsel.
- Operate efficiently in a digital environment.

For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
