Salary Range: Starting at $45,000 for Lecturer or $47,500 for Senior Lecturer for nine-months (Fall and Spring semesters).
Hours: up to 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions
Job Summary
The UTSA Department of Biology, Health, and the Environment invites applications for the position of a Fixed-Term Track (FTT) Lecturer or Senior Lecturer of Biology or Environmental Science, beginning Fall 2025.
The Department of Biology, Health, and the Environment is looking for qualified candidates with expertise in general biology, anatomy and physiology, genetics, ecology, evolution, and environmental science. Fixed-Term Track (FTT) faculty at UTSA are generally hired through renewable contracts. The primary contract would be for 9-months, with additional summer appointments (for teaching or administrative service) possible.
Core Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in biology or environmental science. This position would have a baseline teaching requirement of 4 undergraduate or graduate lecture courses in the Biology, Health, and the Environment department each semester.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or related fields
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching biology and/or environmental science courses at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Working Conditions
This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee’s responsibility.
