Your RoleAs a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with SEN, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally by:
- Offering one-to-one and small group support tailored to students’ individual needs.
- Assisting teachers in implementing personalized education plans (IEPs).
- Helping deliver creative and engaging lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Creating an inclusive classroom environment that fosters confidence and participation.
- Monitoring and tracking student progress, sharing insights with teachers and parents to guide interventions.
- Supporting students in their social and emotional development, promoting resilience and interpersonal skills.
- Engaging in staff training and meetings to refine your skills and knowledge in SEN support.
What You BringDesirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (not essential, as training is available).
- A passion for inclusive education and supporting diverse learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm and constructive in challenging situations.
- Good organizational skills to manage tasks effectively.
Requirements:
- A clear DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
