Our vision is to leverage the incredible potential of technology to build vehicles that not only offer a premium, all-encompassing digital experience, but that also make our customers lives better.WHAT TO EXPECTCome and join JLR’s Automated Off-Road Squad, part of the Motion Systems and Software Integration Team in the Body Chassis Engineering Department, where you will be responsible for delivering off-road features such as Terrain Response and All Terrain Progress Control on JLR vehicles.As a Lead Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for test case generation, management, route cause analysis and defect resolution, as well as the development and delivery of a new off-road functionality.You will have a chance to flourish and make your mark in the Automated Off-Road Squad, supporting the development of new features from inception to delivery.Key responsibilities & accountabilities:Coordinate the successful delivery of system validation, including creating test cases to validate functionality.Investigate and resolve issues found on rigs and vehicles.Develop a clear understanding of the logical and physical system design and architecture, to enable test cases to be created and issues resolved.Populate test management tools and link them to system requirements.Contribute to the delivery of given features in line with the Systems Engineering Process.Support agile working with engineering activities related to feature delivery.WHAT YOU’LL NEEDDemonstrable experience in delivering software-controlled features.Strong understanding of Systems Engineering.Demonstrable experience in defining and writing test cases for rig and vehicle work.Strong understanding of test case management, network architecture, CANFD and ethernet communication.Ability to solve complex technical issues using a structured approach.SO WHY US?Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme.
