Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application.Let us introduce the roleAWE is currently recruiting for an Lead Technical Sponsor for the Production Operations GroupThis role is ideally suited to workup technical understanding of processes who enjoys working in diverse teams across a range of Operational environment.Working within the Production Operations Group the successful candidate will be required to undertake Nuclear understanding on Operations that support manufacturing processes.In addition to supporting the future capability of AWE.Who are we looking for?We do need you to have the following:· Engineering or scientist qualification or experience· Working knowledge of a manufacturing environmentWhilst not to be considered a tick list, we’d like you to have experience in some of the following:· Operations in a high hazard environment· Delivery of projects· Manufacturing techniques· Application of safety casesYou’ll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.Job DescriptionKey Accountabilities:

• To engage with internal and/or external customers to raise AWE’s profile and sustain demand for organisations products and services.
• To shape value propositions that influence the direction of AWE programme to ensure AWE has the capabilities now and in the future.
• To act as a formal approver and technical decision maker for work delivered to the programme or through commercial contracts.
• To articulate risk and work with programme/project managers to shape mitigation plans.
• To lead, coach and develop a team of leaders and influence others at specialism or functional level to create and deliver our operational plans.
• All – maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player.
• Additional accountabilities for this job profile may be defined and appointed through the Chief Engineer Management Arrangements, with appointees listed within the Company Design Authorities and Technical Authorities, as held in the company management system.

Key Responsibilities:

• To derive requirements and set programme direction in a number of different capability areas by working with colleagues across the business and external customer(s).
• To set smart acceptance criteria to enable efficient and effective programme/project planning, through liaison with the subject matter experts, the customer and programme.
• To represent the capability areas and act as the interface with the customer and programme.
• To engage with customer’s technical managers to understand their needs and shape value propositions that link their requirements to the organisations products and services.
• To ensure effective communications between the programme and customers.
• If required, to deliver assigned projects to time, cost and quality, compliant with AWE processes.
• The Company may require you to fulfil any other reasonable duties aligned to your position from time to time in line with business needs.
