The Land Agent I will acquire and develop the fundamental skills and business acumen to perform the duties of the Land Agent through both structured curriculum and on the job training.
1) Provide input and interface with all pertinent departments at APS in relation to proposed right of way work/construction projects.
2) Interpret drawings and/or exhibits of field layout and determine easement/permit requirements.
3) Obtain customer consent to easement locations, prepare corresponding transmittal letters, write legal descriptions, and complete and submit applications for permits to appropriate municipality, county and/or state agency.
4) Research and retrieve survey information and land ownership data from company records, Title Companies and County Assessor’s information from on-line services.Research various private and governmental agencies for survey and land documents including leases, ALTA survey plats, licenses, permits and land use agreements.
5) Provide support and assistance for the purchase of properties, land value analysis, right of way encroachment reviews, governmental permit applications and rental payments.
6) Investigate Company records, including GIS, to establish location of existing facilities and research survey and land records to establish Company land rights for facilities relocation reimbursement.
Hybrid:Employees in hybrid roles work both in their home offices (virtually) and alongside their colleagues (in person).
In order for employees to build strong relationships and to promote meaningful in-person interactions, hybrid employees are expected to work about 40% of their time in-person at an APS or other (non-home office) location.
