Laboratory Technician, IWH Environmental Research

• Perform field sampling activities, including equipment prep, sample collection and preservation, documentation, and post-field processing in compliance with QA/QC and safety protocols
• Conduct routine chemical and microbiological analyses in the filed and in the laboratory
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, logs, and chain-of-custody documentation
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Chemistry or equivalent, OR an Associate’s Degree with two (2) years of professional experience in an environmental laboratory or equivalent work places

Required Experience

• Minimum one year of experience in a laboratory

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Chemistry or equivalent

Preferred Experience

• Minimum two years of professional experience in an environmental laboratory
• Water Lab Analyst license or a Class I or II Water Operator license

Proposed Salary
$42,500 – $45,000
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
