We are passionate about the industry and always on the lookout for new talent to join us on our journey…A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A KITCHEN PORTER AT THE MET HOTEL, LEEDSWe are currently looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our Kitchen Team at the Met Hotel, Leeds.As a Kitchen Porter you will be an integral part of the Kitchen Brigade, reporting into the Head Chef, you will be required to work shift patterns of morning and afternoon. You must be enthusiastic, passionate, and eager to learn.You key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Provide assistance to the Head Chef/ Other Chefs to help ensure the smooth running of the food service operations.
  • General washing-up duties to include kitchen equipment
  • Ensuring all kitchen areas are clear of debris and conform to health and safety regulations
  • Checking and storing deliveries
  • Assisting with picking and packing orders
  • Assisting the kitchen team with additional duties and when required
  • Sweeping, mopping, and cleaning all floors and surface areas
  • Seperation & disposal of waste
