Recent success has resulted in General Dynamics developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems to meet the needs of latest platforms in development by several aircraft manufacturers. These Mission Computing Systems provide the functionality that integrates aircraft systems, sensor systems and weapon systems with the information and control systems required by the aircrew to meet the demanding operational needs of these aircraft.Job DescriptionWe are hiring talented Junior Software Engineers to help develop the next generation of avionics systems.As a Junior Software Engineer, you will be assigned to one of our avionic systems development teams using a variety of design tools and languages across the development life cycle.You will undertake a range of activities, including:
QualificationsTo apply for these entry level Software Engineer roles, you will need degree-level education in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Electronics.Work experience in a software development environment is advantageous. You will also require the following:
Professional registration as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng, IET or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential.
