John & Molly’s, a top-rated & award-winning neighborhood tavern in Eastampton, NJ, seeks a full-time Sous Chef to join our team.Who we are: We are a family-owned tavern in a historic 19th-century building. We serve delicious and creatively prepared beverages, fresh seafood, steaks, sautés, and beers.Candidate summary: The ideal candidate shows initiative and leadership and is simultaneously a great team player. You enjoy working in the hospitality industry.This position is responsible for managing the BOH and cooking with our team on the line.Company culture:

Job title:

• Sous Chef

Compensation:

• $70-80K salary (base + bonus pay)
• Paid Weekly
• Paid time off
• Bonus pay potential (performance-based)

Schedule requirements:

• Approximately 50-55 hours per week
• 5 days per week
• Available to work mornings
• Weekends

Language requirements:

• English
• Spanish is helpful

Must have experience:

• 2+ years minimum of previous Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Sous Chef experience in a casual bar/restaurant
• Food safety knowledge (certification preferred)
• Ordering & receiving, inventory
• Staff training & motivation
• Managing 5-10 people
